The XK8 was launched in 1996 to replace the XJ-S. Two body styles were produced - a coupé and a convertible. The car was the first in the Jaguar line-up to use Jaguar's newly developed V8 engine - the AJ-V8. In 1999 the supercharged XKR was added to the range. The XKR featured 370 supercharged horsepower, a subtle rear spoiler, wire mesh front grille, and red exterior emblems.
This example was originally supplied by Royal Ascot Jaguar and has only had 2 former keepers, both in Ascot, with the last owner having the car for 13 years. The bodywork, paintwork and interior are all said by the vendor to be in excellent condition, with the mechanicals of the car also being in good condition.
The car comes with a service book, with 16 stamps up to 102,000 miles, 13 old MOTs, and receipts up to 106,000 miles (including one for £3,805 and another for £1,719). The car has recently had a full service. There are also 3 keys supplied with the car. The vendor advises that the car is a pleasure to drive, with these models fast becoming modern classics.
