A rare Charles I silver wine taster or tastevin maker's mark poorly struck, possibly I?H, London 1641, of circular form, S shaped wire handles, panels with punch-work foliate decoration, the flat base with punch-work flower head, engraved initials E*P to rim, 10.6cms., (4.1ins.) diameter including handles, 7.8cm. (3ins.) without the handles, 2.8cm.
