Brian Tozer (b.1944). Snake Dancer, Hopi Medicine Man, stoneware clay, leather, shells, wall mounted, 127cm height.
Tozer was commissioned to undertake a series of Native American sculptures, inspiration was taken from period photographs, for the UK and Canadian market in 1999/2000. The clay was fired to 1240 degrees and his wife, Sally, undertook the leatherwork.
