A 19th Century gilt brass telescope signed Dollond London on the brass back plate of the barrel. Mounted on a solid brass tripod stand with folding cabriole legs and spade feet for movement in both the horizontal and vertical planes. The telescope has a gilt brass barrel and rack and pinion fine adjustment detachable tube operated by a thumb wheel to the side of the main barrel. 51mm (2) achromatic objective lens with push on lens cap and four lens eyepiece contained in a segmented brass tube, with screw on end cap, with a flared eyecup.
