A Staffordshire pottery cigarette advertising box and cover. Transfer printed in black, the cover inscribed ‘The Balkan Sobranie Cigarettes - Made of the Finest Yenidje Tobacco’ and decorated with a figural landscape scene depicting carriages pulling crates of cigarettes with further figural scenes to the sides. 6 in (15.3 cm) length. Condition report: Restoration to upper right corner of cover. Surface wear with some staining to the crazing to the interior with age.
