An antique carving set and nut crackers in a fitted box, the lid of the box is engraved " Presented to TD Sullivan ESQ MP as a Souvenir of his memorable visit to Sheffield & Rotherham on the Occasion of the National Celebration of St Patricks Day 1882 by his affectionate & grateful Irish Friends of Sheffield & Rotherham. We note that Timothy Daniel Sullivan (29 May 1827 â 31 March 1914), served as Lord Mayor of Dublin from 1886 to 1888 and a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1880 to 1900.
