A group of three interesting documents, comprising An original receipt for Hearth Tax, dated 1680, this relates to having to pay an annual tax per hearth you have in your home, this was later replaced by window tax which was much less intrusive, 9.5cm x 9cm approx.; A license dated 20th June 1806, giving Josph Hardy of Alnwick the right to sell hats outside of London, 24.5cm x 38cm approx.; Flyer for a Goverment Lottery by Whiting & Branston, circa 1826, 12cm x 17.5cm approx.
