An early 20th century Jay's Oxford silver plated anniversary seashell conch sculpture, no. 1503, plated by Walker and Hall. The piece is in the shape of a seashell, with decorative engravings to the top and body, and screwed to a rock-shaped base. Hallmarks printed to the underside of the piece. Accompanied is a handwritten letter dated 1927, in which the writer congratulates a couple on their silver wedding anniversary, with the silver plated seashell sculpture intended as a gift. Measuring approx. 15cm x 16cm.
