18th/19th CENTURY MIXTURE; Range with 1768 scorched letter (no cover) signed by two Naval surgeons of the frigate Topaz declaring that they had treated two men for fever on the Conception, 1843 E to Rome ex Athens with oval "Via di Mare" h.s. on front and oval "Sanita in Ancona/Netta fuorie dentro" h.s. applied to rear, 1848 EL to Leghorn ex Odessa sent via (French PO in) Constantinople, Athens, and transferred to the Piraeus lazaretto and with a "HYGEIONOMEION PIREOS" cachet applied and slits applied at right, and a few others inc PPC's of quarantine harbour offices.
