A Vic 1845 pattern infantry field officers sword, very slightly curved, fullered blade 32½”, by B Johnstone Sackville St London (faint) at forte, etched with crowned VR cypher in scrolled panels on both sides, with owner’s crest in panel at forte on one side, regulation brass hilt incorporating crowned VR cypher, with turn down inner portion, stepped pommel, scrolled backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its brass scabbard with 2 rings, GC, the blade retaining some original polish (some wear to hilt).
