Also with two extremely interesting photo albums corresponding to Barr’s time in Africa, including original photographs and photographic postcards depicting Egypt, Cairo, Port Said, Port Suez, Tripoli etc. With images of Monuments, Tourist Spots, German Tanks, Fellow Troops, Troops in front of Nazi planes, Local people, selection of photographs of a time posted in a Monastery with images of nuns and interior shots, on horseback, a football match, troops with beers & portraits etc. A superb insight into the human-side of conflict, with many images of young men enjoying themselves.
