A folder containing a collection of correspondence from the Crimea War dated Sebastopol, 1854 from the Royal Horse Artillery Camp describing the harsh conditions for both men and horses. The letters are from a C de Gernon addressed to a member of the Ffarington family Isle of Wight. Some of the correspondence has Penny Black and Penny Red postage. Also included in the folder is various correspondence iniaited by the previous owner to the Royal Artillery Historical Trust and also transcripts of some of the letters. (displayed in cabinet) (1)
