Dorothy Adamson (British, 1893-1934), Three horses in a summer landscape. oil on canvas, signed and dated 1916 lower right. 11¼ x 15¼in. (28.5 x 38.7cm.). Relined and surface clean and bright. Canvas is uneven, with some bulging to the centre and lower right - there appears to be a restored L-shaped split to the canvas at the upper right, just to the right of the horse's tail in the hills beyond and sky. Probable extensive repainting to the sky at upper right. Some small retouches visible elsewhere and minor strengthening to horses and tree.
