A 19th century Staffordshire drabware lion tamer jug with with Isaac van Amburgh "The Brute Tamer of Pompeii". Circa 1830-1840. In good condition with no obvious damage or restoration. There is a crack to the top of the lion handle and a small chip to the side of it though doesn't show signs of breaking off. 18cm tall.
