Measuring: 53cms x 45cms. This item will be offered to the buy of the previous lot for the same hammer price.

they were acquired by Sarita Enriqueta Ward, daughter of Herbert Ward, the famous sculptor and explorer; she was later Lady Vansittart, wife of the Permanent Undersecretary of the Foreign Office during the Second World War. The provenance is secure as they have been in the family ever since she acquired them and is on the back of the pictures.
