A Carl Thieme model of a Jay (Eichelhäher), mid 19th century, modelled after Meissen standing on a branch leaning forward with beak open looking to it's right, the naturalistic branch with applied flowers and moulded knots, painted in enamels, painted title to lower edge of base 'D. Eichelhäher' in purple, underglaze blue cross mark with T above, impressed model number 407, 20.5cm high.

Beak damaged and repaired but still with loss, restoration to top of branch, some loss to flower petals and leaves, otherwise elsewhere in good condition with no other major damage visible.
