A Caughley porcelain 'Sliced Apple' tea canister and cover, circa 1785-90, of fluted form, transfer-printed in underglaze blue, the secondary print featuring a whole apple overlapped by flowers, below a cell diaper border, unmarked, 11.5cm high Provenance: Private Collection. Purchased from Peter Whiteley, Ironbridge in 1994.
