Taxidermy: Chambered Nautilus Shell.
A particularly large and fine specimen of of Chambered Nautilus shell. When cut in half you can see how they get their name. There are different chambers which the animal can regulate levels of air in each, allowing it to travel the water column. The animals body inhabiting the last open chamber. The nautilus is most closely related to squid, octopus and cuttlefish.
