A Chinese doucai 'dragon' deep bowl, 19th century, the interior painted with a confronting five claw dragon chasing a flaming pearl, key work border, the exterior painted with two five claw dragons chasing a flaming pearl amid flames and above waves and a key-work foot, apocryphal underglaze blue Wanli mark, 28.2cm diameter, small chip and glaze losses to rim
The bowl has a small chip and various glaze losses to the rim around a third of the circumference. There is some buildup of water residue to the enamel in the centre of the interior which will scratch off. Otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks.
