A late Victorian 1827 pattern Naval Officer's Sword, with 31-inch/79cm steel blade with single three-quarter-length fuller and spear tip, etched and burnished with arabesque and Queen's 'Tudor' crown above a fouled anchor, Star of David proof mark to the Forte, Royal Coat of Arms to the other side and 'Pote & Sons, Naval Outfitters, Devonport' to the Forte, solid gilt-brass gothic hilt with fouled anchor, hinged inner guard with locking button-hole, Lion's pommel and backstrap with chequered thumb spacer, wire-bound shagreen grip, tied bullion knot, the leather scabbard with brass chape and shoe drag, middle and top bands with suspension rings
