1930s-40s CRASH/WRECK MAIL: A small group inc. 27 Nov. 1937 env. to London ex Lahore carried on the Cygnus which crashed at Brindisi, with air mail label affixed and black boxed "DAMAGED BY SEA/WATER" cachets (2 - one on front and one on reverse); and 1946 Ambulance env. to Ramat-Gan ex Naples with purple "Oggetto recuperato - nelle condi zioni in cui si trova - dall'incedio di Napoli Porto" cachets (2) on reverse, along with the env. in question sent from Rome with charred edges; plus two other examples (one in pieces).
