A beautiful original oil on canvas board painting titled "Moscow Flyer" by the prize-winning Irish artist Margaret Kennedy. Features a beautifully observed portrait of the famous Irish National hunt horse Moscow Flyer. A top-class horse, he won the Queen Mother Champion Chase in 2003 and 2005, the Tingle Creek Chase in 2003 and 2004 and the Arkle Challenge Trophy in 2002. Nicely rendered in delicate brushstrokes with great attention to light and shade. Signed bottom left with further artist information to verso. Housed in a high quality wood and gilt frame.

Margaret Kennedy is a contemporary prize-winning Irish artist. She spent many years working in the equestrian environment, which enables her to extract great detail, movement and personality of her subjects in her paintings. She works in a realistic manner, paying special attention to detail and form and emphasis on composition and the incredible effects of the juxtaposing of light and shade. Her work is represented in many private collections in Ireland and abroad, and has participated in a number of group exhibitions. More recently, Margaret has become a successful author, with her first book "Mr. Luggie Tatters" being published in 2006.
