1938-49 mint collection in green Devon album, commencing with a series of blown-up photographs illustrating the type of plate variety to be found on the issue.  The remainder of the album is given over to Farmer's study of the issue, as published in his 1955 book on the Seychelles.  All values are represented in complete (or nearly complete) sheets, mostly but not all split into two to fit the album pages, one or two partially reconstructed;  with extensive notes on separate pieces of paper mounted on intervening leaves, the notes being a precis of the text as it appears in the book.  Generally the printings are the more common ones, but there are a number of 1941 1r to be seen.  A large block of 5r has pink interleaving adhering.  The 20c ‘handkerchief’ flaw is present.  A wonderful collection for the specialist.  SG 135a-149a
