Approximately 139 standard-size postcards from the New Donald McGill Series, published by Constance Ltd of London – at least the reverse of one card a nod to the problems of decency in his humour he was having with the censors at the time (see photo, where this card was approved by the Blackpool Postcard Censorship Board in 1958). This lot also has a Valentine’s Day card sent on February 14, 1914; a 1907 postally used novelty card showing an Asian man’s hair; and a Christmas card which opens out. Mainly good condition – but some card have minor faults such as staining or rounded corners etc.
