Decorative Arts: A late 19th or early 20th century wooden cased double sailors valentine of octagonal form, one side a central heart within a framework of shells, the other side the words 'Ever Thine'. Total size when open 46cm across. From the estate of Jack Counter, known as 'The Jersey VC'. He is known to have purchased this for his sweetheart after the Great War.
