£800
George Frederick Halse (1826-1895), A large marble figural group, modelled as a reclining maiden having a flower wreath place on her head, by a companion, signed and dated ‘1882’, 66cm high
The piece shows losses to the toes of the left foot of the seated lady, and faults in the stone of the standing figure's left arm. The wreath shows small chips and nibbles to high points. The piece is dirty, showing dirt build-up in the crevices, the odd scuff and areas of ingrained dirt.
