A Chinese gilt decorated blue ground vase, Hu, Guangxu mark and of the period (1875-1908), gilt decorated with a bird perched on blossoming branches, the reverse with a river landscape scene, remnants of inscriptions to the neck, underglaze blue six character mark to the base, 30cm high, the base later drilled for a lamp
The base of the vase has been drilled for a lamp fitting, the hole with splinter chips on the underside and large splinter losses to the interior. There is wear to the gilt decoration in places, otherwise in reasonable condition.
