American WWII style steel helmet with painted decoration in the form of two white spades suggesting the 2nd Battalion of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne division, the helmet with liner, leather headband and chin strap.
The internal stamp is not entirely clear but extra images have been added.
