Tom Robertson - McIntosh of Kirkcaldy - A teak Dunvegan dining table and six chairs, the extending table of rectangular form over tapered legs, height 74cm, width 90cm and length 147cm when closed and 192cm extended, together with six ladderback chairs including two carvers, with green cloth upholstered seats, some damage and repairs to the chairs. NB - The chairs in this lot are offered for sale as works of art. They may not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Safety Regulations 1988 and for this reason should not be used in a private dwelling.
The back has been broken to one of the carver chairs and has been glue repaired. There is a screwed repair to the frame of two of the side chairs. Some scuffs to the frames and the table legs in places. The seat upholstery is holed to one of the carver chairs. The one end section of the top has faded slightly compared to the central fold-out leaf and the other end section. Some ring marks to the top in places.
