A signed 1946 edition hardback of 'Detour: The Story Of Oflag IVC' a firsthand account of life inside the notorious Colditz Castle POW camp during World War II. Written by J.E.R. Wood and illustrated by J.F. Watton, this book captures the trials, ingenuity, and resilience of Allied prisoners in one of the most heavily guarded camps.

This copy seems to have originally belonged to Rupert Barry, prior to Michael Booker, as it bears a stamp with his name. Additionally, it includes a personal inscription from the book's illustrator, John Watton, to Michael Booker, which reads: "To Michael Booker, with all good wishes, John Watton."
