A FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR OBE GROUP OF TEN TO THE ROYAL NAVY. A group of ten comprising OBE on Military ribbon, second type, 1914-15 Star named to Asst Payr D.H. Pasmore R.N., War Medal and Victory Medals to Paym Lt D. H. Pasmore R.N. 1939-45, Atlantic and Africa Stars privately named to Capt (S) D.H. Pasmore R.N. Defence and War Medals similarly privately named and 1937 George VI Coronation Medal. All mounted as worn with accompanying Miniatures and a selection of ribbons.
Paymaster Commander Dennis Hathaway Pasmore was awarded his OBE. whilst serving aboard HMS Orlando, in the 1946 New year's Honours List. He is recorded as a clerk aboard H.M.S. Hyacinth at the Cape of Good Hope prior to the First World War with seniority from the 11th February 1913.
Born c.1892 to Henry and Ellen Passmore of Wombourn, Surrey, Dennis was the second of five children. Further medals to the Pasmore family are included in this auction as lots 618 and 620. *CR As worn, good condition.
