A 19th Century mahogany brass corner mounted box, possibly a pistol case, lacking interior fittings, width 46cm, damaged.
Old cracks to top through centre and undulation noted - the lid is warped. Splits are noted to the underside of the lid. There are sections of replaced veneer along the front and rear edges of the lid and also some small patched veneer repairs. The lock would appear to have been forced at some point. There is no key but the lock is still present. As noted in the description, there is no fitted interior to the box.
Internal dimensions are height 8cm, width 43cm and depth (front to back) 28cm.
