Scarce WWI Franco-British body armour, the khaki body supports externally fitted armoured sections to the front and back. These sections are made up from individual square steel plates, each one being linked to the next with a welded ring. The armour consists of three individual parts which can be detached with press stud fittings. The inside is lined with a white striped cotton. Cotton fastening ties are also still present.
Franco-British Cuirasses take their name by the fact they were first manufactured in France in 1916 but subsequently sold to British soldiers.
