AN ANTIQUE 11 BORE 3 BAND PERCUSSION SMOOTH BORE MUSKET BASED ON THE DESIGN OF THE P53 ENFIELD RIFLE, its 39 1/2 barrel bears what appears to be pre 1855 London commercial proof marks plus the additional mark APX-1806-B.X-78 on its breech, its lock is in working order but devoid of any arsenal marks, fitted with a V block rear sight and two sling loops and comes with a ramrod, during the 1970's Hyderabad State in south central India sold many old arms to British dealers, these bore the Indian Police registration marks stamped on the left side of the breech which match the aforementioned mark and which were added prior to their sale, its walnut stock is in good condition and the barrel has retained most of its blued finish
