A selection of commemorative wares, to include a Sunderland style pink lustre ware teacup and saucer, printed 'To The Memory Of Princess Charlotte' with Britannia weeping before a mausoleum, the saucer 14.5cm diameter; a moulded octagonal plate with pink lustre rim commemorating the coronation of Queen Victoria in 1838, 15cm wide; a similar octagonal lustre ware plate bearing a full length portrait of Queen Victoria; a Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee moustache cup and saucer, the saucer 14cm diameter; a cup and saucer commemorating the marriage of Prince George, Duke of York (later King George V), and Princess Victoria Mary of Teck (later Queen Mary) in 1893, etc. (13)
The pink lustre saucer shows a star crack to the well. The cup and saucer both show rubbing to the lustre finish. The octagonal plates both show crazing, staining and rubbing to the lustre finish. The moustache cup and saucer show fine surface crazing, wear to the printed design, and rubbing to the gilt highlights. The other pieces show surface wear and rubbing to the gilt highlights, but no obvious chips, cracks or crazing.
