A 18th century double ended fruitwood knitting sheath with carved and inlaid metal decoration, inscribed 'F E 1733', 20cms long.
The central shaft has an old crack of approx 1 inch which runs into one knitting sheath holder, a very small section of wood missing (as per last image), some minor indentations to the wood commensurate with age, good overall condition.
