A mid 19c eight day longcase clock, the 33cm diam. white painted circular dial signed B. Thomas, Cardiff, and having Roman numerals and a seconds ring. The movement is of four pillar construction and is rack striking on a bell. It is contained in a mahogany case with round topped hood surmounted by a carved moulding with shell and leaf decoration. The dial is flanked by baluster columns and has a spun brass bezel. the short trunk door has a shaped top and the trunk has canted corners. The large base is plain and has a cut out plinth. The clock stands 203cm tall overall.

The movement seems complete but requires cleaning and restoring., The dial is in reasonable condition with slight wear to some of the figures. The seconds hand is missing and the minutes hand is loose. The case is complete but does require cleaning
