Frank Fitzsimons has a strong auction history with works fetching into high hundreds.
Frank Fitzsimons was born in Antrim but was raised in Bangor, County Down during the 1930s. He is a primarily self-taught artist. Fitzsimons joined the Belfast Art Club painting alongside Maurice Wilks. Since then, his style and approach were influenced by Charles McAuley and Frank McKelvey. Fitzsimons taught for several years before he began to show his work in galleries, including the Magee Gallery and the Arches Gallery.
