A BATTLE OF BRITAIN PAINTED WOODEN PROPELLER BLADE. A wooden propeller blade section painted to one side in oils with a Spitfire chasing a Messerschmidt, beneath the date 1940. Signed W. Daw. 103 cm long, 17 cm wide. W. Daw was a relative of the vendor, and apparently this piece was painted shortly after the Second World War.

More Information

Slight discolouration to the varnish, but generally a charming item in good condition. This may be a heavily modified propeller blade, or it may have been fashioned to represent a propeller blade.
