An early 20th century French diamond and ruby fob watch by Rossel & Fils, the circular white dial with Roman numerals, rose cut diamonds and mixed cut rubies set to the bezel, diamond and ruby floral cluster to the reverse cover, against a black enamel ground within a border of further rose cut diamonds and mixed cut rubies, all set to a gold coloured case, key wind movement, numbered 81357, 32mm diameter, upon a gold coloured curb-link chain with barrel clasp fastening, 64cm long, weight 39.2gms

This watch does not have a key, and is untested. The dial is in good order, no cracks, chips or losses. Some misshaping to the hour hand, but largely in good order. There are some areas of heavy scratching to the glass, but no cracks, chips or losses. There are some chips and nibbles to the diamonds on the bezel around the dial and the reverse, and the rubies show several chips and are very abraded. This piece requires cleaning - there is dirt build up around the glass dial and behind the diamonds in the setting. The diamonds to the central floral cluster show several chips and nibbles, and a build up of dirt behind the diamonds in the setting. There is a very large fracture to one of the ruby petals, and very heavy abrasion to the other rubies. Chipping and heavy scratching to the enamel. No marks have been found on the case which indicated gold content. See pictures for details.
