A mid-19th century horn fan with very decorative monture, shaped into shields just below the shoulder, pierced, the gorge etched with flowers, both guards with a male and female figure, the male possibly military, the bobbin lace leaf designed with a central cartouche from which tendrils and flowers meander, a pair of birds perched to either side, guard approx. 26cm
