Owen Jones - 2 complementary chromolithographs 1866.

These two complementary antique prints are from Paradise and the Peri by Thomas Moore. Published by Day & Son, London 1860.

The text and illustration are displayed in orientalist or medieval style frames with a gold background.

The text originates from an epic poem entitled Lalla Rookh, published in 1817 by Thomas Moore. The elaborate chromolithographs in this work were illustrated by Owen Jones and Henry Warren and lithographed by Albert Warren.

Size: approx 13in x10in (33cm x 25cm).
