17th century William & Mary period English blue and white Delft plate with blue underglazed crown flanked by griffin-headed scrollwork, swagged in tasselled garlands, with initials 'IW', dated 1694, above a cherub's head, 22cm diameter, old label to the underside for Gaultier Collection.

There are small chips and losses to the rim. There is another larger chip to the opposite side of the rim. There are areas of age-related crazing to the plate. There are marks to the rim where it has probably been hung at some point (can be seen on the underside).
