A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 2560, DONCASTER WORKS 1925, from a LNER A1 Class 4-6-2 No 2560 built at Doncaster, Works No 1616, in April 1925 and named PRETTY POLLY after the filly which won the 1904 Oaks, 1000 Guineas and St Leger. Rebuilt and re-classified as A3 Class in 1944, it was renumbered 61 in 1946 becoming BR 60061. Its BR sheds were Leicester Central, Doncaster, Copley Hill, Kings Cross, Neasden, New England and Grantham from where it was withdrawn in September 1963 and cut up at Doncaster Works.
