EARLY VALENTINES & WWII RED CROSS LETTERSHEETS: 1877 fancy embossed envs. from Birmingham to Malton (large sized, small faults) or from London to Plumpton (faults inc. repaired tears) each franked with 1d red and tied by duplex dated 14 or 13 Feb. 1877. Plus undated card (no env.) with fancy pierced cover and handwritten message inside. Also Nov. 1942 Red Cross lettersheet to Guernsey ex England with British censor mark, Red Cross cachet and "RED CROSS MESSAGE BUREAU......" hs on top and June 1943 Red Cross lettersheet to England ex Jersey with rare embossed seal of the Jersey Bailiff with framed "On Behalf of the Bailiff/of Jersey Enquiry and/News Service." hs placed over it with German & British censor marks and a Red Cross cachet also on front.
