A Rare Blue and White Scrollweight, mid Ming dynasty, of slender rectangular form with rounded ends, decorated in a rich inky cobalt on the flat top with an interlocking 'cash' diaper, and around the sides with a fluent foliate scroll, bearing alternate chrysanthemum and periwinkle flowers, the design continuing uninterrupted around the rounded ends, and the flat base unglazed exposing the smooth ware, burnt slightly brown in the firing,
