The work has been relined and is in fully restored condition, the vendor has told us that it was restored, cleaned and varnished ten to fifteen years ago and a museum quality varnish has been used to the surface, this is however rather on the shiny side, the work is contained within a 1990s or early millennium dated gilt plaster and wooden frame within inner gilt slip.
