VICTORIAN SILVER BOER WAR SOUVENIR TEASPOON, the handle in the form of a very detailed Lee-Metford rifle (this rifle was replaced by the Lee-Enfield), the bayonet extends into the gilt oval bowl which is engraved with the inscription Souvenir of the Anglo-Boer War 1899 - 1900, 4 3/4in (12.4cm) long, Reg. No. 349937, makers Saunders and Shepherd, London 1899 and a ARTISTS RIFLES STERLING SILVER AND BLUE ENAMELLED LAPEL BADGE, designed by JW Wyon showing the heads of Roman Gods Mars & Minerva, (the Artist Rifles fought in the second Boer War and part of the City Imperial Volunteers) (2)
