LARGE FRENCH PORCELAIN CLOCK - CHARPENTIER SAINT MALO. A rococo style porcelain mantle clock, painted with a small panel of flowers on a dark red ground, with shell motifs and rich gilded decoration, and mounted on a plinth with gilded feet (clock and base joined together). With a silvered dial and Roman Numerals and marked 'Chapentier a S Malo', and striking on a bell. Painted mark inside the case, possibly 'MA'. 51cms high, dial 7.5cms diameter. *CR With a pendulum but no key, I have used a key here to wind it and it does seem to run for a short while, it also strikes on the bell.
Case, missing the back cover of the clock, dial quite worn in places, some areas of wear to the porcelain in places including one side of the clock, feet and other areas, small chip repair to side of case near the top. See online images.
