'The Model Kitcaster, 1965. Owner: Lennie Holden, Hampton, London, UK. Lennie Holden was a prolific model maker who by the age of six had assembled, glued and painted the entire Airfix Military Aircraft range, in both 1:48 and 1:72 scale. Worried that his son's passion was becoming an obsession, Lennie's father Ned presented him with the Model Kitcaster guitar on Christmas morning 1965, in an attempt to expand his son's horizons. The ruse worked, and Lennie soon became obsessed with guitar playing and went on to form The Spitfires, a popular blues band on the London circuit from 1974 to 1989
